David K. Michael, board certified in orthopedic surgery and practices general orthopedics. He has special interests in arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, and trauma. He practices in Lansing and East Lansing, Michigan. His office is in East Lansing, Michigan.

Dr. Michael received undergraduate degrees from Central Michigan University in 1965 and 1966. He received his Masters and PhD degrees in 1968 and 1972 respectively from Michigan State University. He was a National Institute of Health predoctoral fellow from 1968-1972. He graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University in 1975. After graduation from Michigan State University, he served his internship at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital in Saginaw Michigan. Dr. Michael completed his orthopedic residency at Lansing General Hospital and Michigan State University in 1980.

Dr. Michael has privileges at Ingham Regional Medical Center, Edward W. Sparrow Hospital, Olin Health Center at Michigan State University, and Genesis Surgery Center.

Dr. Michael’s professional associations include: American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics-Sports Medicine Section, Michigan Association of Osteopathic Orthopedic Surgeons, Michigan Orthopedic Society, and the Ingham County Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Michael is a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Michigan State University and an attending faculty member of the orthopedic residency program.

Dr. Michael is an examiner for board certification in the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. He is a Fellow in the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.

Dr Michael has authored numerous publications, and has had presentations at the national, state, and local levels .

Dr. Michael is married with two children and resides locally. His outside interests include family and grandchildren, as well as, golf, fishing, biking and travel. He is actively involved in both high school and Michigan State University athletics.
